I have been campaigning all over the state since I entered this race for State Auditor, and have enjoyed talking with concerned New Mexico voters.

The State Auditor’s office must do everything within its powers to guarantee that public funds are used correctly and ethically. As your State Auditor, I want to uphold this and do even more. I want to play a more active role in the investigation and prosecution of fraud and illegal acts that involve taxpayer money.

As a lawyer and state representative, I have worked to protect New Mexicans from price gouging, enact DUI reform, and worked towards promoting renewable energy technologies.

As your State Auditor, I will work to improve government accountability by investigating fraud and assisting in the prosecution of improper use of public funds, your tax dollars.

In addition, I will have an open door to engage the public about how taxpayer funds are spent and work with public officials on the best practices for effective government.
