BALDERAS LAUNCHES NEW ONLINE HEADQUARTERS

For Immediate Release: December 1, 2011

ALBUQUERQUE - Continuing to build his grassroots momentum, Hector Balderas launched an updated website and online headquarters today that includes enhanced tools for engaging and organizing supporters.

"We've already seen broad grassroots support for our campaign," said Campaign Manager Caroline Buerkle. "We're excited we can now offer even more ways for our supporters to get involved online and continue to use new media to tell Hector's story and engage with New Mexicans."

Created with grassroots supporters in mind, the revamped hectorbalderas.com also allows visitors to take action in a variety of ways, including the ability to "endorse" Hector themselves, as well as volunteer, attend events and connect with the campaign through email and a number of social media platforms. Visitors can also view Hector's current endorsements and see the growing list of local leaders, unions and coalitions that have declared their support for bringing Wagon Mound values to Washington. In addition, in a new section focusing on Hector's policy positions, he shares his vision on a variety of key issues including how he will fight to hold Wall Street accountable and make Washington work for middle class families.

"Washington has lost a sense of purpose and responsibility," writes Balderas, introducing his issues platform. "That's why New Mexicans are so frustrated with out national leaders. Every day New Mexicans who work hard and play by the rules fall further behind—yet not one Wall Street executive has been held accountable for sending our economy to the brink of disaster!"

"It's time to give average citizens a voice, and that is exactly what our online headquarters is meant to do," Balderas added. Visit http://www.hectorbalderas.com to learn more.

"In this campaign, I won't have the most connections in Washington. I won't be the candidate of the lobbyists or the insiders. But I'm not running to be their Senator. I'm running to be yours."
